It is our practice to donate the 5th Sunday cash giving to a nominated charity as agreed at the annual church meeting. This month has a 5th Sunday and so in keeping with our practice the cash and special envelope giving will go to our nominated charity which this month is the East Anglia Air Ambulance. This is an air ambulance providing helicopter Emergency Medical Services across the English counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge and Bedfordshire. The crew consists of two pilots, doctor and critical care paramedic. Their missions average out at eight each day. The H145 helicopters operate  from two bases Norwich and Cambridge. This service is working to become a 24/7 service by 2020 and will need to raise an extra £1 million each year on top of the £12 million that is already needed. With an all day service they estimate that they could go out for 600 additional missions and be there for over 400 more patients who need their help every year.
